They will probably get it. The yuppies have really driven up the price on old VW busses. You should see the videos on Youtube where people recover totally rusted out and stripped shells from swamps and forests to rebuild them. Especially the 50s and 60s era bugs and busses.

Read it again Reed. It's an intentional joke. The dude even says, "Rare forest find".

Thanks, Astro...
These guys were being too serious. LOL

This ad had me laughing out loud, and I was hoping to share some of that.

"I think after a carb rebuild a new set of plugs and a miracle it will fire right up."
A miracle. LOL

He's probably somebody who really misses the old days (just a few years ago) of $400, running bay window buses.

How about finding one that's been in the forest for 40 years!!....Then rebuilding it in place enough to actually drive it out....!!

That's awesome, Catfish!
Thanks for sharing that.

It reminded me of a quest a friend and I went on a few years back...
He'd gotten word that there was a Reliant Robin at some antique store on the outskirts of the DFW Metroplex, and he asked me if I wanted to try and track it down.
So we went to all of the antique stores we could find out that way and saw a lot of crazy stuff, but the car was nowhere to be found... and none of the people we talked to knew anything about it.
Finally, just as we were about out of ideas, the shop owner where we ended up said we should try a place a little further down, because that lady had a lot of oddball stuff. She said we'd know the place because there was an old airplane out front.
We went down there, and sure enough, there was a Soviet, Mig-15 out in front of the place.
She also had the car (she also had an old Trabant).
It wasn't a Reliant Robin. It was a Reliant Realto. Potay-to, potah-to. LOL
He bought the car (over a period of FOREVER, trying to get the paperwork straight), and then we went back, picked it up, trailered it to his house, and got it running again.
Now he takes it to shows and stuff, and has to constantly tell people that it's not as easy to tip over as what Top Gear made it look like. LOL
