Is it just me or does it seem like the prices of used vans have skyrocketed lately????

4 sure does Lee. Decent examples becoming less plentiful too. Not quite the Bonanza of the $250 65 Chevy Impalas from years past, but, it does seem like the secret may have gotten out...

I had a 59 too, who knew.... But my beater B250 has a v8, and I won't cringe when loading up the herd.

Cheers!

Old vans never really die if we chose to let them live

5-10 year old vans also, during the resession not many new ones were sold and now a lot of tradesman are looking to replace their old iron with something nice thats used and it has really driven up prices.

Yes and I guess 10-12 have been featured in bringatrailer.com and barnfinds.com. Several were ones I had seen on Craigslist that sold quick after being featured nationally. I think this and the economy are driving prices up.

I have been griping about the rising price of vans for years. I don't see it as a good thing because that means fewer people can afford them and the hobby will be taken over by speculators, poseurs, and yuppies. No thanks. I don't get into the Barrett-Jackson mindset.

Windows- they're what make a van worth owning!

Same thought it. They surely have good demand now.
