How much weight does everyone trust on their rear ladders?

Ha! Good question Catfish. The one on my old Santa Fe was built of some pretty darned light weight aluminum. I would guess a couple of hundred pounds would be the max, which would put me over. But I never had any sort of info. on the ladder (owner manual or brochure), so I'm really not sure.

I'll be anxious to see if anyone hear has any definitive factory documentation.

My TransVan has the aluminum ladder screwed into fiberglass.... I suspect the fasteners will fail before the actual ladder.

I weigh 310-320 pounds. I used to climb on my ladder and bounce up and down. No problems. I took it off because it rattled too much.

Windows- they're what make a van worth owning!

I weigh 285lbs and am a little leery of the aluminum ladder. LOL

My opinion...conversion companies tried to make them look like motor homes on the outside and airplanes on the inside.
