I had been wanting to get a louder exhaust so I bought a black Friday special Jegs 2 chamber "deep tone" muffler for $25, essentially a much cheaper Flowmaster 40.

The previous owners had the exhaust tubing replaced and the shop used smaller than factory tubing so I bought all new direct fit Walker 3" mid, and 2.75" tail pipe which I'm going to have to adapt to fit the 3" muffler outlet.

All together the 3 parts cost me under what one Flowmaster Super 44 would have cost.

Rented an exhaust pipe cutter from AutoZone to help remove the old pipe, it surprised me how well it worked.

Hey Gladiator,

Always enjoy reading about Gpa and the Family Van. Cool about the FOM, docs, and keys. Cool Gma! Intetested in how the exhaust turns out.

I'll make a GoPro driving video once I have the exhaust finished.

Only wish I would have done this in the summer time lol.

Look forward to hearing it. The Express needs a little more attitude in the exhaust department.

Hope you're all having a merry Christmas.

Santa brought the van a "salad bowl", replaces the original plastic collar for a little better airflow into the tbi,
also comes with new gaskets, a grommet and connector for the pcv.

Have to put off the exhaust work until the weather improves, at least the vans staying relatively dry under the car port, there's a low of 1* F tonight.

Noticed there was water under the front of the van and found a plastic piece with hoses going to it leaking coolant, I assume it has something to do with the heater. Seems its controlled by a plunger and hook, any idea what this thing is?
