After discussion with sales person it was suggested that laminate hardwood flooring would be bad in a van, but I swear others have done it. I can't do carpet, my wheelchair constantly rolling in the one spot it destroys in, so I need something different, could do plywood but the gap between the two sheets would drive me mad. What has everyone else put down, I want to see if anyone else has done a wood floor.

No info on hardwood, I'd have thought someone here's done it?

I used 1/2 plywood screwed into the floor of the van to secure it and predrilled and nailed 3/4 hardwood. I used aluminum flat bar between a set of 3 boards like an old pick up. you need to leave a gap on one side so the floor can expand and contract

I'll have to wait till next year, but getting plywood now, I like that with the aluminum but not sure I want to do mine like that.

That looks real good Bigair.

We did a laminate wood floor in our Ford. Lasted a good while until we had some water damage.

Did you use polyurethane, and if so, was it the water cleanup kind?
