There just isnt enough room for headers.

OK so Flowtech #11530FLT fits for the record. IT's a 89 G30 with a factory fit Big block. Hope the video post, I'm not good at it.

Fit so well that I left in the plugs, only broke one removing the manifolds. The factory heat shields even fit.

Hey guys!
I just put headers on my 78 G30 Ambulance with the 400ci engine.
I know that the 400ci is right in between big and small block so I am not sure if it will be the same for a 454 but its worth a shot
I ended up going the route of the Hedman headers, shorty plugs, and paint.

Anyway, I filmed the whole thing so if links work here you can see how I did it.
Its a 3 part video, I posted the last part here because its the most interesting but the others are out there if you need them
Hope someone finds this helpful!

The chevy 400ci is a small block casting, but with Siamesed cylinders. Dimensionally, the block is the same as a 350...and the heads are the same (except they have some vent holes or something for cylinder cooling), Therefore the headers for a 265, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350, and 400 are the same. Chevy did have a 402 Big Block that was a 0.030" over 396 casting, I think it was only produced in 1970...but for sure no later than 1972, and never came in a van.
