According to police, Turman drove through an intersection against a red light hitting four other vehicles.
The California Highway Patrol helicopter later located the van at Hill Drive just north of Anderson. Officers said Turman then continued the chase through the city of Anderson and onto Interstate 5 at speeds over 100 mph.
Turman continued onto Highway 36 westbound, where she was spotted by the CHP helicopter abandoning her vehicle, said officers.
Turman's current whereabouts are unknown. She is wanted by the Redding Police Department as well as Shasta County Probation. | | | Re: woman in mystery machine mini van leads police in pursuit | Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 12,107 Likes: 37 Maniac | Maniac Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 12,107 Likes: 37 | Good for her! Go Mopar! This wasn't even a turbo minivan.

She is a Disgusting human, a drug addicted POS, and her running from the law in the manner she did, could have killed innocents.
And her minivan is an UGLY POS. Anybody who'd try and run in such a recognizable vehicle, obviously has the brain capacity of a Gnat.
She should have aimed at a bridge overpass and ended her miserable existence before she has another chance to possibly ruin someone else's existence.
Effing tweekers.

I see cops get away with so much crap that I applaud anyone who shows them up. Frankly I am surprised more people don't run from our near-fascist over-militarized cops. I am a white guy and I still get very nervous whenever I get pulled over or contacted by a cop. Who knows what might set them off and make them decide to arrest me on bogus charges or shoot me. And the things they do to minorities and don't get in trouble for are shameful. Just because she is a drug addict doesn't mean she is a POS. I have several family members who are addicts and many of my clients are addicts and they are people with rights, too. Addiciton is a disease, not a choice. Addicts deserve compassion and guidance, not wishes for their death.
So, I have to respectfully disagree with your assessmnet of this lady.
However, I am not a fan of the Mystery Machine paint job. But it got the job done.
