Racking my brain to try and find new ones(preferrably not using old ones from a junk yard) but ive found that nobody makes factory new pieces anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The van has been lowered 2.5 using drop spindles(if that helps) but if anybody knows then i know someone on here will.

I am going with DJM C10 lowers for a three inch drop. Just bought a set of 95 arms from a junk yard for the cross shafts. I am hurt to find out the g20 uses the 1 1/2 shaft with a sleeve and rubbers it looks like a nightmare to put back together. I want to copy djm's x shaft by machining the factory shaft. That plan looks shot. Plan B get 2 inch stock and make my own cross shafts, about 70$ plus machine shop. I wish I had a lathe or access to one, I could do it my self. I waited so long for moog to start selling the new r series arm but not at 326 list ( you could by the best aftermarket arms at that price) , Rock auto has them for 180 and you have to take it apart and put the sleeve on. Rare Parts makes solid 2 inch shaft at 318 a set I hope, but you cant pass the shaft thru the end of the arm to get it together, the outer OD of the bushings look to small. I should have a set of the arms at the end of next week to measure the ends and see where I'm at. DJM admin does not have have access to pieces to measure. | | | Re: Lower Control Arms g20 | Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 82 journeyman | OP journeyman Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 82 | Damn Damn Damn. Why do they make it so hard to find parts for our vans??? Well I found a donor van. A 91 g20 and i hope theyre the same. But all the interior is perfect, the body is shot tho. Let me know if you have any luck. I wanted to use the tubular a-arms so i could get another 2in drop out of it, but of course it wont work. Thanks for responding man, hope to hear back from ya about your project.

I put these on about 20 + years ago and I don't totally like them, I cant get the front end to align perfect and the grease fittings on the upper control arms (ball joints) are dimpling my wheel wells. You CAN'T you these drop pocket control arms WITH drop spindles, there was a huge warning on the control arms when I bought them warning me not to do this and spring pocket is about 2 or 3" off the ground so there is no doubt it would hit imperfections in the road never mind if you got a flat!! I would consider drop spindles and cutting the spring a little and also putting a helper bag inside the spring or they do make shorter / drop springs.... just a thought.

I just talked to my mechanic today and he said he is will just weld the mount back on with my new springs. Im also going to replace the uppers along with 4 new ball joints. I hope the welding does the trick. Eventually the whole front end is gonna be rebuilt, tie rods, the whole schmear. Thanks for the response dudes!

My van has been in the garage for yrs now and I'm getting the fever to fix her up. The control arm is the only thing holding me back. I put some money aside for new motor, tranny, complete front en rebuild, and new leaf springs in the back. Gonna use her for some cross country trips, but these damn control arms...
