I decided to wrap the interior pieces rather than having the expense of painting the interior when I repaint the van next year. Cut new door cards and covered them in vinyl. Also wrapped the door handle and window crank and blacked out the silver interior trim. Two new captains chairs. New stereo with bluetooth. http://i1375.photobucket.com/albums/ag466/FreightTrain/101_2932_zpsedchwdxb.jpg

Having worked a good amount with real carbon fiber cloth, which one has to saturate with epoxy or polyester resins, I thought you were insane to try this, but did not know such a cut peel and stick option was available for decorative use.
I wonder how well it deals with extreme temperatures. I have a couple areas on my surfboards with carbon fiber re enforcement, and they get way too hot in the sunlight, and the few all carbon fiber surfboards out there tend to get painted white for such reasons. | | | Re: Carbon fiber interior | Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 35 newbie | OP newbie Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 35 | its nice and easy to work with using a heat gun. | | | Re: Carbon fiber interior | Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 1,536 veteran | veteran Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 1,536 | Looks real nice, good job | | | Re: Carbon fiber interior | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 3,113 Likes: 2 pooh-bah | pooh-bah Joined: May 2006 Posts: 3,113 Likes: 2 | I think that looks really good! Great idea. I see it in the stores and it says for use on outer car moldings among other things so if it works as said it should be ok. | | | Re: Carbon fiber interior | Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 35 newbie | OP newbie Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 35 | Thanks. I got a huge roll on ebay. I think it was to wrap a roof. $36 bucks for the roll. | | | Re: Carbon fiber interior | Joined: Aug 2014 Posts: 443 addict | addict Joined: Aug 2014 Posts: 443 | Great idea looks really good! | | | Re: Carbon fiber interior | Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 1,015 Likes: 19 old hand | old hand Joined: Sep 2013 Posts: 1,015 Likes: 19 | looks great! I might have to look into getting myself some for my interior.
