Might need to get one of those bearings. I drove the 88 Blue van to work again today. It cruises well at 55 with a nice cloud behind it.

Swap is done. We got it on the road in May, but I am still working on little things.

Lots more power. The 4 speed bolted up. We used the stock flywheel, clutch and pressure plate. New input bearing.

The clutch linkage had to be modified to fit around the V8 exhaust.

All of the 4.3 accessories bolted on the front.

V8 mounts swapped over. The stock computer works.

I had to extend some sensor wiring.

I have some. Let me find them in my photos. Not much to see. Not documented the best as I got started and just went. Dad wanted it done before he went back so I didn't take many pictures. Mostly so I could remember how to put it back together.

Engine fired on the first try. Scared my mom. No exhaust in inside a metal building.

Let me know if this link works.

Now Dad want to get the trailer hitch setup. I think I may try to put the headliner from the parts van in his with some added insulation. Then insulate the walls and add paneling to help deaden sound and keep the temperatures down.

We will be installing a window air conditioner in the back.

Is there a way to tighten up the sliding door. It seems to sag and not seal well at the top. Also are new seals available?
