It's a throwback to 1974! The event will be held at Rolling Hills Campground in Penfield, IL on Memorial Day weekend. In '74, we parked and partied. We visited every campsite in the place to make new friends, went to see the bands, and had a blast. This year we are bringing back one of the favorite things from recent truck-ins- The PUB CRAWL!! To make it a little different, we are asking clubs to choose their favorite from our 40 themes, and create a bar in that theme. We will be hosting the pubs in the pavilion on Sunday afternoon.

We have 2 brand new bands for you to enjoy this year, also. Friday will feature "Knucklehead", a classic hard rockin party band. One of the guitarists also happens to be Dave, our sound guy for the weekend! They are here because he ran sound a couple years ago and had a ton of fun.

Saturday will feature "Five N Time" playing all the music you would have heard on the radio in the 70s, along with other songs you will recognize. Don't just hang out in your campsites, come down and party!

We will also have the usual assortment of games and fun, and are working to arrange a screening of the movie. The crew will be there, so you can probably get some goodies from them, too!

Special limited 40th anniversary truck-in patches will be there, too!

Wow...no comments...That's depressing...

Well I feel like I need to move to the Midwest lol. You look at the upcoming events and its all east coast. Need a nats in Co or something... NY isn't happening. Wish I could be there, sounds a blast!

thinking about making the trip in my new 69 chevy.

I'm pumped for this! Me and our crew will be there Friday night to Monday morning. Can't wait for the pub crawl!

Have fun guys! One of these days we will make it back to Midwest's International event. It is a great event, sorry we have to miss it again this year.

Timing just doesn't seem to work, this time we are doing the real international thing and my work is sending me out of the country for the rest of May. Might be back in time to fly over ahead and see it from above as everyone is leaving, lol.

Oh-boy... I'm cutting it close this time...

Installing the hitch on the early tonight, hopefully the wiring too. Needs front shackle bushings replaced and another tire on the passenger rear (left most of it at spring back). Then, go buy the camper and get some historical plates for it.

If I can pull that off in less than a week, I'll be there!

good luck homebrew. i'm gonna have to pass on this one unfortunately. and of course, my buddy tags me from the vanning.com inc facebook page , and my van is on there. haha. have some fun for us,and we will meet again on the long strange trip to the center.
