Hey all,

Here is my new to me 99 Dodge Ram Van.
[Linked Image]

The Van was found in Texas and is absolutely rust free and mint. The underside is so clean this mid-western boy cant hardly believe it!

I have pretty big plans for this van. In fact the day I returned from Texas. I spent two hours removing the front end(grille, turn signals and lower trim parts so I could polish the headlights. As you can see they are very clouded. I use a Professional headlight kit from Meguiars.

I started by sanding 300, 500, 800 and then wet sanded with 1200 and 3000grit. After that I polished them and they look mint.

More updates coming.

So the first day back in the shop with the Van I got to work and ordered the new Bumpers and front grille. I picked up the parts from Certifit(sort of fits). The parts actually fit very well. The chrome is very good and the price is great. The front bumper was $140-150, the rear bumper was $150 and the grille was $60 or so.

You can see the damage to the factory bumper. I was able to pick up a new upper trim piece at a wrecking yard on the way back from Texas for $15.

Installed with the new grille mounted.

Next up I need to fix the sliding side door. This part is worn and its not latching the best.

Til next time.
