At super sommers I was told that if I use acetone and steel wool I can rub off the paint and find that is chome under the ugly grayish paint,i try it but all I found was more like a beige type looking plastic.now my grill looks worse how do I fix it?
There is no way to do it yourself. . . chroming takes lots of money to do, either the old TANK route, or the newer spray route, just too expensive for a hobbyist to afford.
I have heard of SOME grills having chrome under the paint, but never seen it. So now you are left with two options.
1) take it to a chromer and have it stripped and chromed or 2) strip it yourself and paint it.
Sorry, only two ways I see for you to go, maybe someone knows of a third route for ERIC43 to go ?
