Nevermind. I didn't see some of the later replies when I replied......

The ground is a plug on one of the mounting bolts. They can get corroded, which would cause your exact issue. Slamming the hood made the connection shed a bit of corrosion. Unplug the wire and clean it and the lug on the mounting bolt. Use a little WD-40 and a stiff tooth brush. Plug it back in and see if that's the fix. Don't waste your time pulling the dash switch.

Generally blower fans in the Dodges quit because the resistor behind the glovebox burns out and you only get low speed.

If your van's a keeper, one of the first things you should get for it is a factory service manual. The repair books from Haynes, Chilton, etc. just don't compare. If your patient, you may score one cheap on e-bay. If you dont have the time or patience, places like Books4Cars.com can hook you up immediately. they have one listed (93 G-Van Shop Service Repair Manual by General Motors for Chevrolet & GMC full size Vans incl: Rally, Vandura and Magnavan 93_G_Svc) for $59.95. Even at that price, it'll pay for itself the first time you use it.
