I know the bumpers were pretty much the same from 78-95. Fenders probably the same up to about 91 or so.

Welcome to the site!
you've come to the right place for info on vans!!
I do know that the front bumper brackets changed in the early 80's but the bumper is the same.

The bumper brackets have changed, that is why I have extra holes filled with blank rivets....

As for the fenders, unfortunately they are welded on. No matter how bad they are it's almost always easier to repair the ones you have than remove and replace.

Other parts....
Doors 1971-1996, the only differences are body lines, door handles and trim. Sliders changed latching styles, but as far as I know, the doors still work. The front vent windows changed around 1978, but that doesn't affect how the door mounts.

Engine covers and dashboards - 71-77 won't fit 78-up They changed slightly along the way from 78-up, but I believe the parts will bolt on.

I forget exactly when they changed the steering columns, but my guess would be 1978 as that's when just about everything else changed. The ignition key used to go in the dashboard. 92 or 93 got the lockout for the shifter/brake pedal and 95 had the airbag. I could be off by a year or so on some of these.

Grilles/headlight doors changed from model to model and by year. They had 2 headlights, 4 headlights, mini sealed beams, round, rectangular. On later models, most headlight attaching points were there.

Taillights changed in 84-85 as did marker lights.

I'm sure I missed a few......

1978- 1996 bumpers look to be the same doors are interchangeable from 1978 on sliding doors not sure you can update the grill to na 83 to 91 but you have to change to a dash mounted hood release and change to square headlamps if you have round headlamps, but you haqve to modify the rad support to change to the 4 headlamps all sidemarker lights fit and you can change to the 1985 to 1995 tail lamps but looks to be quite abit of work you could modify the rad support and put the 1992- 1995 grille

steering columns were the same 1971 to 1981 in 1982 the columns were changed to having the key and dimmer switch on the column then for 1983 they changed again to be retilted and overdrive automatics were added to the option list and all manual transmissions were shifted on the floor from 1983 on as well.1982 was the last year for round headlamps as well
