I would like to put in swivel seats/captains chairs for my 1970 E200. Anyone have any suggestions as to where to look, what will easily adapt, prices, etc. ?

J.C. whitney sells the swivel posts and also sells a few different variaties of seats. But they're not cheap. I'm not sure if they list any for a 68-74 ford though. You may have to do a little modifying to get the seats to set at the same height as your original seats. I haven't tried it myself.

Easiest bet is get bases from JCWhitney as Rondo said. Then either buy their seats,or maybe Flexsteel (on the net), or you can go junkyarding. Have found numerous sets that way in all kind of conditions. First set I put in my Ford was out of a Mustang, only didn't have arms like a "real" Captain chair.
The swival bases do run lower than stock, but you can make a spacer box from metal, or do as I did and cheat with a couple of pieces of plywood and longer bolts and some black paint! Good luck! Mike...

Go to any large lumber /home repair center,
Home Depot, Grossmans whatever when you need to adapt the seats to the bases. You can buy steel channel and flat steel stock cheap to adapt the seats safely.I've had to adapt my last three vans this way. If you have to stop quick you kinda prefer the seat to stay on the base!!...hehe
