The TFI module on the distributor. I had it tested at the parts store and it was showing low rpms. I changed that and it hasn't stalled. It just idles weird now CLOUDY | | | Re: TFI Module #57283 January 22nd 2001 8:02 pm | Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 252 enthusiast | enthusiast Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 252 | In the western half of the US, one can get these modules tested at any Checker/Schuck's/Kragen and in the east, I'm sure Pep Boys has a test bench. I haven't checked Car Quest, but I'm sure they do, too. | | | Re: TFI Module #57284 January 23rd 2001 2:31 pm | Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 449 addict | addict Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 449 | NAPA tested it for me. I had read a lot of stuff on the internet about how the heat from the motor messes up the TFI module. So when I couldn't figure out why it was stalling I figured what the hell. I took the module off and brought it with me to NAPA and they said they could test it for me. Sure enough it registered low rpm's. | | | Re: TFI Module #57285 January 23rd 2001 3:17 pm | Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 1,088 old hand | OP old hand Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 1,088 | Thanks Gi's now lets help Mike,rs-turbo91,find his noise CLOUDY | | |
