So tell me why the FORD HOWTO section is getting the most posts on fixit subjects? (I own a FORD van, I can talk) | | | Re: WAKE UP FORDERS #57264 January 09th 2001 7:53 pm | Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 129 member | member Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 129 | Well,my last one had 198,000 in 16 years before I questioned the safty of the vehicle. Saw the shop once, and I did limited replacements on it myself. Ask Bonehead about his truck and it's history. Believe he has me beat! Better yet come to a New England event and I'll introduce you to Malcolm (Stagecoach). he swears he has 500,000 miles on his ford. | | | Re: WAKE UP FORDERS #57265 January 15th 2001 3:13 pm | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 6 stranger | stranger Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 6 | I bought my old beater, 1969 one-ton Club Wagon from the school district...well over 500,000 miles, still solid, ...but that Yellow!! paint...yechhh!! | | | Re: WAKE UP FORDERS #57266 January 15th 2001 3:42 pm | Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 1,088 old hand | OP old hand Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 1,088 | Bet it looks better then my Ambulance 1987E-350 Lots of good parts. Seems like new compared to our last two vans!! Still looks like new too.But when the time comes, they still sell spray paint in cans, right?? | | | Re: WAKE UP FORDERS #57268 January 16th 2001 2:41 am | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 7 stranger | stranger Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 7 | Buddy of mine has a 1992 E-350 extended window with over 360,000 miles and still running strong. Biggest repair was replacing the oil pan which had rusted through. Greg-1999 Ford E-350 V-10 custom panel 1989 Dodge 1 ton extended window

The only issue I have with it on a regular basis is the factory fuel select solenoid, although I must admit it has been sitting for awhile now. | | | Re: WAKE UP FORDERS #57270 January 16th 2001 9:02 pm | Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 129 member | member Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 129 | Our latest is a 1992, and the only problem I keep having is Judy keeps setting the Da.. alarm at night, and I keep setting it off at 6AM. Neighbors thought vanners were bad enough!! LOL | | |
