Howdy folks. I would like to know what repair manuals everyone uses, which ones you like the best and which ones you turned to when you didn't know a lot about your van.

I have been reading my Haynes manual a lot but i find it lacks in detail..or maybe i lack in experience!

Yeah..long on pictures which helps but I get confused when the directions seem to fall off in the middle of the job.

Yeah me too..Then i end up searching online and find "almost" what im trying to do then go from there. Makes me nervous lol

i have a haynes chiltons and factory service manual for my 93 GMC Vandura and the best hands down factory service manual although nothing comes close to the advice i get from the van club

I need to find a factory service manual for my 94 econoline..I also need to find a van club. Cant wait to get it runnin good so i can get to some events.

I know what you mean about van clubs...I'm hoping it works with getting things started in the Northwest as far as van events. There's been some feelers out there. Would also like to get involved with NW gatherings.

On the manual note...I was pretty lucky to find just about all the 1976 Ford factory service manuals (truck/van) in one of the cabinets of my van. I mean like 5 or 6 manuals on different aspects of the truck/van. Anyway...I dig in the books I have and search vanning.com. Then it's trial and error, and if it still doesn't work...I have a then ask the fabulous people of this forum for support and ideas.

I use the factory service manuals. I got them all off Ebay for a reasonably good price.

I collected all the Dodge van ones from 1964-2003.

That is some amazing luck finding those manuals in your van! I searched ebay last night and couldn't find one for my machine..I did find a wiring diagram though. I might buy the factory manual in PDF.
