Cash in person. Don't transfer any money until you are standing in front of the vehicle looking at a legitimate title signed by the former legal owner along with a bill of sale and release of interest.

Windows- they're what make a van worth owning!

I live in San Diego in 2010 I bought my 92 it was in Cedar Rapids at a car dealer I told my bank to send a certified check with instructions...flew back picked it up at the airport and drove it 2200 miles home...I called the bank when I got home to tell them all went well....If the deal gets messed up call the bank cancel the check...

yeah I have bought two vans long distance now, in both cases, I sent a small deposit ahead of time, then flew out and finished the deal with cash. . . . and I bought from folks I knew on here. Make the deposit small, so if they run with it, you are not totally screwed, so to speak. I did 100.00 to 200.00.

cash in hand...fly down and if its wat u want buy it and drive it back...

cant fly down talk with the person and see how they are (beware that there are fake people = NONE VANNERS....) if its a good person which there are those who are out there you will be able to work something out..

and then theres always wait till theres one near you, which will happen..
