I resist open elements in the doghouse, prefer ducted, you don't want the trash thrown up from the fan going in the filter, and the heat, reduces MPG, I've benefited by adding more ducted air, have 2 inlets like some muscle cars, the Thunderbolt comes to mind

I use meguir's cleaner wax on it, and for real bad overspray or water spots etc, a little heavy abrasive rubbing compound. wont hurt the chrome at all.

I had used a chrome-cleaner in my youth here in germany, which is a white paste.

But since I discovered NevrDull, I use this only and think it works great.

If you use anything but a cotton (old towels work best)and either a paste or the goo type with no abrasives, you will leave fine fine scratches! It will take more rubbing if it is a littls rusty but it will clean up!
