Has anyone put 20's on their van? Can you still lower a van on 20's without mods? Will 20's work on a stock suspension? I've been looking at rim after rim after rim trying to decide what size and look I want along with the need/want to lower my van. I can't decide but I also can't find any pictures of a 70's Chevy on 20 inch rims?? if someone can post pictures or suggestion it would be great.

Theres plenty of vans on here with 20's , personally I like the old 15x10's.

I believe John's van here in the picture has 18" & 20" rims. Brad

Mine has 18's up front and 20's on the rear but it is not lowered.

what you have to remember when shopping for wheels is your back space.
To "tuck" a set of the larger wheels on a Chevy you need to run a really deep back space.......

I had 20's and recently changed them for a more classic style. My van is stock height.

I will not put 20's on the Phoenix , she is an old school van and I like the way she sets. Besides the selection of wheels I do not like and the sizes of tires is not ther and the price of the tires like the ones on my Ram truck for Michelin MS2's is $319.00 each. That's for the 275-70-R20. They are great long running tires but for a truck not a van. No one has come up with a wheel that I like yet so I will stay where I am and be happy.

My suspension is stock height(other than the standard rear sag)Fitting 20's on a Chevy is pretty hard, even without lowering. A Chevy van that is slammed and on Dubs probably has very extensive and pricey suspension mods, perhaps fully custom fabricated. I wanted mine drivable and on a limited budget. I would actually recommend 18's.

That's all the sidewall I could have. I wanted the wheels to not be tucked way in (so the flares would not look silly) and I wanted nice wide tires.

With wide tires and a wide stance the only way I could avoid rubbing was to keep the diameter to a minimum. With 20" of rim I couldn't have much rubber.

If you tuck the wheels in you can have more diameter.

Hi there. Although I am not an expert on rims|wheels and tire fitment, I do believe that you should be able to fit 20's on your ChevyVan.


There are a number of factors that you need to consider however, and these will be very important: 1.) you'll need to know your original

backspacing (I believe this should be about 3.5"), and 2.) you'll need to know how large of a diameter of a tire you can fit in your wheel-

wells.


I know that in keeping with a tire diameter that is the same as my original 29"s, I can use a variety of rims up to 18", but I have not looked

into going beyond that.


The next thing is you'll need to measure where the outside of the tires can rub on your steering tires, the others are easier to calculate /

visualize.

What is your tire size? Can u pls give details of your wheels? 20's? Offset? Backspace?
