After a bit more research I've come to the conclusion that lowering a G20 van isn't really possible. You can buy smaller wheels, and even smaller aspect ratio tires, but that is about as low as you can make it. Not a true "low rider" so to speak. The van is unibody and without extensive extreme modification and frame re-construction it is essentially impossible to lower a g20 van. Outside of a budget upwards of 10k,it's just not going to happen. Oh well, suppose i'll just roll with it as she sits and look for another van to put my motorcycle in when I'm not riding it. I know my information isn't the most in-depth, but maybe it will help others to make a good decision in the event they are curious about the idea of lowering a g20 van.

Kane, you can use one of two methods to lower your ride. Either drop spindles and a spacer to move the wheel out to clear the lower control arm, or drop springs. See my posts above, it gives all the details you will need to do this. If you can do the work yourself, total cost is well under 500 bucks. Let me know if you need any help. I would recommend checking your ball-joints and control arm bushing to make sure they are up to par.

Update:

I finally got one side completed with both the 2" drop springs and the 2.5" drop spindles and wow it is way too low. Only about a half inch clearance between the top of the tire and the wheel opening. So I guess I didn't calculate the spring compression rate correctly when doing my measurements. Shit! So I'll be returning the drop springs and replacing them with stock ride height springs from Eaton. That will give me right around 2" of clearance between the top of the tire and wheel opening, which looks perfect and the van has an awesome rake. The 1" wheel spacers give plenty of lower control arm clearance and put the wheel exactly where I wanted it with no flares. I just tore down the drivers side suspension and beat/chiseled out the bushings and ball joints yesterday. I have to sand blast, paint, and reassemble. So at the rate I'm going, I may have some before and after pics in about another few weeks. Time is never on my side.

I have plenty of pics to upload to help anyone planning on dropping their ride.

Hey Guys, need a little help. I just called Eaton Detroit Springs and since these 2" drop springs were a special order, I cannot return them. So, anybody interested in dropping their ride 2", I'll sell them for $150 and pay the shipping charges to you.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Wow! You're a plethora of information. I've literally scoured the internet and talked with several ppl about this and have not found anyone or any information outside of this. Please please please post part #s and pics as soon as possible. I can do all the work myself, and if I had not seen your post today, I was prepared to buy new tires that would not work with a drop tomorrow. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to lower my van as soon as possible as I'm constrained by time. You may have potentially saved me hundreds of dollars if your information is transferable to my 94 G20.
thank you for replying, I'm looking forward to hearing and seeing more from you.
Thanks again.

I would love to see the pics you have and any information in regards to part #'s and links would be awesome. I was giving up hope and was prepared to scrap the whole idea tomorrow. I'm gonna hold out now. I had been convinced it wasn't possible till I read your post today.
I'm looking forward to any information you are willing to share. I'm all excited again!!! :-)

I'm actually selling the new 2" drop springs for a good deal, see my post in the classifieds, $150 total, I pay the shipping. I can't use them because I already lowered it 2.5 inches with the spindles I put in. It depends on how much you need to lower your ride if these will work for you or not, but from what I learned after installing the springs is that they are 2" shorter than the stock springs I pulled out, but after the vehicle weight settles on them they are actually closer to a 2.5-3" drop.

So basically for $150 bucks and a days work, you can drop it about 3". I would highly recommend checking your ball-joints when you pull it apart. If they are loose or worn out change them. SummitRacing has them for the best price I could find for MOOG parts.

If you want to use the spindle method to drop it then it is more expensive. The spindles are about 200 on ebay, and the spacers to move the wheels out to clear the lower control arms are about another 150 bucks.

Hope this helps, if you look back through this post I believe I already put in all the info for the parts, but if not let me know and I can send it to you.
