I'm renewing this with a question as well. I have a 77 GMC G20. The 3/4 ton seems very important because people offer drop spindles for 1/2 ton and 1 ton but not 3/4 ton. Also these businesses don't have a lot of info on the front suspension. My question is what possibilities can I use for converting and is converting my only option? I was told the control arms have different tapered ball joints??? I'm in a world of confusion here having C-notched and lowered the rear already.
C10?
C30?
G10?
G30?

What kind of issues will I run into for brakes. I have a 5 lug setup with brand new brakes on the front and don't really want to have 6 lug on front and 5 on rear.
Are G10 brakes smaller?

Hey Guys, I'm also trying to lower my 1990 G20 a couple of inches front and rear, and cannot find parts anywhere. Tried Jegs, Summit, Beltech, GroundForce, LMCTrucks and SpringWorks. SpringWorks was the only one who could do it, but to the tune of $1,500 for a custom one off set of front and rear springs. GroundForce said they have stopped production on their drop spindles until around December due to re tooling equipment. Does anyone have any other leads on this dilemma?

I believe the G10 are smaller front brakes, my G20 has HD brakes, bigger rotors and calipers.

Check out this site:

http://www.eatondetroitspring.com/ordering/

They have front coil springs to lower our vans from 1", 1.5", or 2" for 200.00 a pair.

For the rear they need to know this info:

Are the leaf springs 1.25" or 1.5" wide, if they're 1.25, which mine are, then they need to know if they are the 52" or 54" long springs. He said to measure from where the springs mount in front and in back to the center where they bolt to the rear end. These are the two possible combos:

24" Front to center and 28" rear to center or
24" Front to center and 30" rear to center

They also need to know how many leaves are stacked in the springs. Seems pretty straight forward, he said with the 2" lowered springs the front ride is 10% stiffer than stock.

GM #2 spindle 71-76 Impala B body, 73-87 c-10 trucks, Blazer. Have to make sure GM BIG- 5on5 lug pattern, D52 caliper, A3-A5 bearings. The rotor is the giveaway 1.25 thick 11.75 Dia. Gm offered the 1/2 tons with the smaller 4.75 lug pattern and 1" thick rotor, so you have to be carefull.
You can eyeball the parts sharing here.
