Lowering suspension of a 92 Chevy G20 Van | Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 748 old hand | OP old hand Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 748 | I just shortened my van by four feet and dropped the top eight inches. I want to lower the suspension two inches. Anyone know what spindle and shackle kit could I use?

The Chevy truck spindles are supposed to work on the vans. Pics of the van would be awesome to see! | | | Re: Lowering suspension of a 92 Chevy G20 Van | Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 2,108 veteran | veteran Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 2,108 | Go to www.lmctrucks.com they have all that stuff there, I might order the once inch drop coils for the front of my van for next spring. | | | Re: Lowering suspension of a 92 Chevy G20 Van | Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 30 newbie | newbie Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 30 | I put 2 inch dtop coils on the front of my 79 G20, I liked the look but any bump would cause the van to bottom on the stops. It was very annoying so I took them off and put the original back on. Thinking drop spindles would not cause this to happen. Or is there a way to use the coils and not have it hit bottom?

My solution was to simply cut the rubber bumpers shorter. How I approached this was to remove them entirely and using a ramp I compressed one corner to see what room I needed and at what point I would cause other problems such as rubbing. I think I only took about 1"-1.5" off and found everything works fine and I haven't had any issues since. | | | Re: Lowering suspension of a 92 Chevy G20 Van | Joined: Sep 2014 Posts: 3 stranger | stranger Joined: Sep 2014 Posts: 3 | Where can i find a lowering kit for my 94 g20 Shorty?
