A few months back I talked to the owner of this van, my friend was gonna fly out and look at it but changed his mind and it's still for sale. I found more pics tonight and I must say I love it, well except for the wheels. I'm thinking Cragar SS all around, deep dish in back. Anyways he's had the van since new and had it all customized a few years later. Anyways here's the link for my photos, I talked to him tonight on the phone and he said 7500 would buy it. I think it's a steal from the pics!
If interested his name is Bob Large 913-888-6214

I have seen this van in person at SPRING FEVER, and it is worth every penny in my opinion. . . .

Yes, I agree with Fester, the van was at Spring Fever in May & I told Bob I would like to buy it...but can't right now..bad timing for me. But at $8,500 which was his first price it is a steal, now I read he is down to $7,500. That is a steal, If I could sell my van quickly before someone else buys it I would sell my Chop & buy this van.

I could just see pulling up to a beach or swimming area in this, I love my van as well but it's tempting to try and sell and get this one. Ugh wish I could win the lottery I'd have a bunch of vans!

One of my favorite vans I've seen. I'm definitely a fan of the blue and white! lol

I actually saw this in another ad and always wanted it.

I struggled with this van now for the last year and a half. It was $8950 Firm plus add $1300 shipping. So basically a $10k van.
I had no idea he would go down off price or I may have thought further.

But in the end I was able to nearly get two vans for a little more than it would have cost for just this one.

I am happy with what I have and would still love this van, but I also wasn't sure I wanted to be forever stuck in a theme. There is no opportunity to make Jaws your own. It is a classic and worth it though.

Shoot, and the way I roll I could wake up one morning and sell all my vans and still buy it. smile

Like so many others, I wanted to buy Jaws when it first came up for sale in 2011/12 by Mr. Bob Large (RIP). Well, I've been thinking about it ever since, as its rumored history since Mr. Large's sale is unthinkable. It needs to be out in public for everyone to enjoy. It needs to be driven. It needs to be saved. I searched to find current owner who bought it a few years ago and put it in storage. We had been communicating for over a month via email, came to an agreement, and now its in my possession. Very fortunate to own it and when it seemed negotiations were heading south, I felt Mr. Large was present to allow his van a positive turning point. Over the last week, I've neglected our other van and have spent each weekday night and full weekend days to clean it up, determine what needs to be fixed (short term and long term), and have begun planning things out. We are its 4th owner (3rd in last 6 years) and plan to keep it that way for a long time.

Back in December we were invited to have JAWS on display at the Fort Worth New Car Auto Show. JAWS has again been invited to be on display in a few weeks at the Dallas New Car Auto Show. In addition, logistics are being worked out with a local museum requesting JAWS be at their facility during the week long Shark Week when they screen the original JAWS movie in their theater. And then later this year at a possible comic con.

JAWS plans to be in attendance at Spring Fever. I've been in conversation with original owner Mr. Large's son and daughter who are planning to come out and see it for the first time in a long time.

JAWS Van has been invited to be on display at Shark Con in Tampa FL, happening June 27-28 2020. This event is very well attended and preamble to Discovery Channel's Shark Week shortly thereafter. The Discovery Channel will be in attendance. Con organizers are in communications with living Jaws movie actors to be in attendance, pro surfers, pro athletes, and other celebrities who are devoted to conservation causes. Should be wicked awesome!
