This is really close to what it would look like. Thanx a bunch buddy! | | | Re: My Early Dodge | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 28,125 Madman! | OP Madman! Yes, I'm thinking between 2" and 3"! Coolness yes! Of course, I myself being 5'7" could certainly drive it for you if needed.... I'm sure you would love that | | | Re: My Early Dodge | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 28,125 Madman! | OP Madman! Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 28,125 | That panel has a pretty good angle towards the rear of the van. Wouldn't taking 3 inches from there also make the rear corners tilt in more or a section have to be added to the roof section?....... In that area you will also have to deal with the dash board......I am glad it's made of metal too...... Yes, that section would have to be tilted in somewhat and the nose section would have to be modified as well. The dash doesn't bother me, because I had already planned on changing that. | | | Re: My Early Dodge | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 6,502 Li'l Blue Wagon | Li'l Blue Wagon Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 6,502 | OK! Stay tuned for wheels and tires, and a hammered stance. | | | Re: My Early Dodge | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 28,125 Madman! | OP Madman! Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 28,125 | I have never done anything like this, so my advice may be no good. I would think maybe leaving the rear at or near factory height and dropping the front to where it is in the photoshopped picks to give it a slammed down look in the front? Like I always say, i have many ideas but never enuff money or experience to try them That would work too, but also be a little more difficult. It would really make the angle chop seem a lot more drastic. | | | Re: My Early Dodge | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 28,125 Madman! | OP Madman! Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 28,125 | No problemo. Sweet, Now that's what I'm talking about | | | Re: My Early Dodge | Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 7,662 Likes: 2 carpal tunnel | carpal tunnel Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 7,662 Likes: 2 | I know all of this is still in the plannig stages. I was looking at this A100 picture.
I could not help but notice the angles of the top line. they tilt in on the sides as well as across the front. the little point going on at the nose will have to be worked as well as a top door hinge. I know there are answers to all of the probelms I pointed out After looking at all of this it might just be easier to take the tree inches out of the center of the belt line and deal with a head lights change....... That could be as sinple as losing the huge pie pan stock head light trim and "frenching" the stock headlights..... This also would not change the angle of your a pillar.......
I guess easier should not even be considered when you are going radical custom..........LOL

The A-pillar is already going to move because of the chop. I'd just have to put a slice in the nose section to pull it in. I think doing it in the rounded area would be a major hassle to make the curve uniform again. I'm planning on getting rid of the pie plates, just not sure exactly how yet. | | | Re: My Early Dodge | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 1,170 old hand | old hand Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 1,170 | Rather than pull the a-pillar, section the roof. If it's already getting cramped it'll save an inch or two on each side. I've done them both ways and it's a much bigger pain to add metal to the roof, but it looks nicer. | | |
