Aftermarket stereo with rear control factory stereo? | Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 1,317 old hand | OP old hand Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 1,317 | Has anybody installed an after market head unit in a windstar with the rear volume/channel control before? I could see the extra control as being a problem, probably making them useless if I install a new system...

Contact SONY directly and see if they did/do offer a head unit that will work for you.
Years ago, early 90s, when I owned my shop, i just bypassed this setup and did a regular install.
