Good ol, Maypops! Got one Firestone, a Goodyear, and one Joe blo brand tire. I want to put on 33" BF Goodrich all terrains, but need to buy/build a new suspension first. The damn money tree is not producing tho.

So when you go to buy new tires can you have the date checked on them and reject them and say you want another set? I am looking to buy some new ones for my Venture. Good thing this was posted never knew there was a date on them. I was thinking of running Cooper Cobras on the Venture.

I'm sure you can, but the store may not have any newer ones, so you may need to go somewhere else.

I specifically told my dealer when he ordered the tires for Court's mid that I would except nothing less than 2008 dates and he did it was 49th week of 2008 can't get much better than that. I look at it is it's my $$ and I want quality and will be upfront about it, if you don't they walk all over you..

On two diferent occasions I have had tire failures due to "new" leaky valve stems being installed with a new tire. If they are old when they are pulled into the rim it can cause a crack in the rubber retainer.... low pressure at speed = tire separation.. I think many of the failures listed here could be from this.. Underinflation will kill a new tire just like an older tire. I have never had problems with old tires failing that were properly inflated.

I just posted about Mickey Thompson SS indy profiles (345/50/15) are discontinued. Figures, within weeks of me trying to order a set! I sooo bummed. If I have a blow out I can't buy another set.

This sucks!
