I've heard a number of people talk about switching back from TBI to carb. My own father is always on me about how TBI is much more fuel efficient but with the correct rear end, intake, exhaust, and carb you could be in the same if not better shape.

Marcus I Would put on a 600 cfm carb with an edelbrock performer intake. I have heard nothing but good things about Holley's carbs. But then again I don't know a lot and thats just based off what I've researched for V8. Not sure whats good for a v6,

you can get edelbrock intakes in a polished finish that is very show friendly.

The best thing to do is talk to someone at Edelbrock. They can recommend the perfect set up for what you are looking for. I prefer Holley Carbs, but most younger guys love the Edelbrock. The Edelbrock is a great carb too, but I like the ease of adjusting of the Holley. Edelbrock will give you a perfect carb, intake, cam set that will give you exactly what you are looking for. They will most likely want to know what you want out of it, what gears you are running and what size tire also. These all factor into what you want to get.

Ah, so you are an older fellow like me lol You can always tell how old racers are, by what carbs they like best grin

I still have my second car, that I drag raced for years. It's in a million pieces, but I still have it. It's a 73 340 Cuda. Some day I'll put it back together.
