It's almost impossible to put this thing into gear. | | | Re: VW Shifter linkage | Joined: May 2007 Posts: 188 Keeper of the Book of the Great Legend | Keeper of the Book of the Great Legend Joined: May 2007 Posts: 188 | SV1: Try finding a copy of VW TRENDS or HOT VW magazine. They usually have them at the grocery store. You should be able to find all you need in there, mailorder. hope this helps,

Some of teh repo parts are jus tcomplete junk. Wolfsburg West will generally have the "right" stuff. | | | Re: VW Shifter linkage | Joined: May 2007 Posts: 9,854 Likes: 8 Festerus Vannimus | Festerus Vannimus Joined: May 2007 Posts: 9,854 Likes: 8 | are you needing the coupler at the tranny end, or the shifter rod bushing that is under the shifter? the rod bushing that hides under the floor in the shifter tunnel (for lack of a better term) is only like 1.95 at most any after market VW shop, the rear bushing, at the tranny, is like 15.00 so neither not a bad purchase, and both FAIRLY easy to install, at least on a bug...and bus/van not much worse. I do not have the name handy, but in HOT VWs magazine, there is a bus only shop that advertises in the front half of the mag....BFI or something like that...good luck!
