The HHR Chevy family are having a "Kicks on Route 66" run July 18 thru the 22th. It's the weekend of the Nats and not too far from the Nats. They allow all HHR's even the TMW version. (But they really love the little panels). Vendors, Poker Runs, Treasure Hunt. If it was just the weekend of the 11th we'd be towing Lil' Red but I'm not gonna leave the Nats to go there.

LOL crazy
Yeah Darrin after I posted that I looked at the locations again. Let's see....oh yeah..it's "engage brain then open mouth"! blush

It looks like they intend a rolling event. Covering about a hundred miles a day. I wonder if a van eVant could be set-up like that?
NAH! It'd never work for van eVants. I have trouble walking at vannin's much less drivin'!! cheers

Thinking HHR should be in the Import section as they are built in Taco factories ????

Actually, I called our GM dealer salesman. The HHR's, both versions, are assembled in Mexico, shipped to Oshawa in Canada for quality assurance inspection, then shipped to the dealers..

He indicated that some sales staff may gloss over that small detail, but as he sells us a few vehicles ( to say the least)he got the facts for me.

How crazy is that !!!!!!

So Taco Factory confirmed lol

I always wondered about that. American Most Vanner's prefer the Canadian Made Dodges and Chev Van's, and I as a Canadian, like the American Built Ford...

Go figure grin
And Americans like our beer better than theirs, and I prefer certain quality American beers cheers

BTW, NO Mexican built vehicles is my Motto

My motto is to never confuse the term "built" with assembled. Where a vehicle is assembled and where the parts are made are, at least these days, nations apart. Hell, they're all assembled by robots anyway.
Maybe that's why we all seem to like the old stuff. The old stuff was built and assembled closer to home.
