That's what Spider told me years ago when I asked him if he could make Gullwings for the new style Fords.
This being said he told me that it would prolly cost around $5k to make a mold. That is why my gullwing and clamshell are all steel! | | | Re: Hanks Fiberglass | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 6,502 Li'l Blue Wagon | Li'l Blue Wagon Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 6,502 | Thats a good reason. It would be worthwhile if you had a handful of vanners that all wanted the same part, IE. a f/g gull. Then everyone chips in and cuts the cost down. | | | Re: Hanks Fiberglass | Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 404 Likes: 1 addict | addict Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 404 Likes: 1 | Im sure that price has dropped recently....i know a few fiberglass guyz looking for work........its not that hard to make molds its the chop gun and materials that will cost ya.........im going to make a set of flairs for my second gen ford from existing ones........just going to make the mold right on the truck.......i should have em by may if anyone else is looking for a nice flair kit for that make Ford | | |
