Being on the road is about my favorite place to be. To a truck-in, show, national park, lunch, whereever. I am more comfortable on the road than on my couch!

When I was a young man, I was pulled over for "hazardous conduct with auto". Being young and dumb, I decided to take a "bush bond" and hit the kudzu. By the time those good ole boys fished me out of that kudzu patch they were comparing the job to noodlin'. So when one of 'em reached down under that mess of grass and got hold of me he hollered "I think I got a CatFish"!
grin
I have the highest regard for the truth and I only use it in cases of emergency! cheers

Boot is about as close to a name as I've ever had. My mother named me Ralph, after an uncle of hers, and my dad always hated the name. I guess I was about 3 when, for reasons still unknown, he started calling me Boot. As a kid, I really thought Boot was my name, cause everyone used it, all my relatives, and even my teachers. The name on my High School diploma reads 'R. "Boot" Leonard'.

Think we had a thread like this once before, but, that's ok. I had a 76 Buick Skyhawk, gloss black with a brushed aluminumn targa band, uneven firing v6, and the first 5speed tranny. Did some work to it, would do 135mph, had back and side window louvers, flamed the front hood. Named it the Starship. Later, my first van was named the Voyager 1, so, I combined the two and became Starlord. It is also my C.B. handle.

Why is it that when I press 1 for English, I still can not understand the person on the other end????

Aw, and there I was, hoping you listened to Hawkwind! That aptly named Skyhawk sure sounds like it would have been fun for some serious space truckin!

;0)

Clear skies!

It's what you learn after you know it all, that counts...

Are you living to work, or working to live?

Learning from my own mistakes is good, learning from yours would be much better! [Linked Image]

Have you seen my tongue? lol

The 1st name I had on here was Pegasus, only because I kept trying names and all the good ones seemed taken. Finally I tried pegasus (my wife is a pegasus fan) and it worked, but some people kept confusing me with someone else who had been on here previously under a similar name.

I knew I needed a different name but didn't know what until I purchased a very faded turf green dodge van. When I was showing it to some relatives and the discussion started on what color to eventually repaint it, I jokingly made the comment "it really ISN'T easy being green". One of the grandkids heard that and thought it would be funny to put a kermit inside and the rest is history.
