The only time you need to keep the same sizes is when dealing with a 4x4 or an all wheel drive. | | | Re: rim qustion? | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 911 old hand | OP old hand Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 911 | what is advantage to have wider tires in back??thanks for reply. | | | Re: rim qustion? | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 59 journeyman | journeyman Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 59 | Different sizes, front to rear, may upset the antilock brakes. Just keep that in mind. You can juggle widths and aspect ratios to retain the same diameter but still get the big/little look.

It just looks COOLER! Or if you need it, more traction. | | | Re: rim qustion? | Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,286 | Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,286 | This is handy. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.htmlAs 4x42b said, you should try to stick to the same outer diameter as stock. It greatly simplifies things and eliminates the problems with modern electronic systems. What size are your stock tires? | | | Re: rim qustion? | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 911 old hand | OP old hand Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 911 | thanks for all the replys, superbeast i agree with the look im trying to get 15x10 for the back of my 65 chevy for that reason!I may hold off now but down the road for the rims for the 03 odge ,that money can get the 65 on the road, but i will get/fix p the 03 though.thanks again. | | |
