I think there could be alot of potential to customizing one of those. I'm waiting for my dad to give me his '90 Pontiac minivan, which he has owned since new. I see a Targa top in its future.
I have heard of them being loving refered to as DUSTBUSTER'S....lol
Do one up and call it Shuttlecraft ?????

There was a couple at the Nats with one of these. I never gave them much of a second thought, but they loved theirs and had A LOT of enthusiasm for it. They were cracking me up talking to them. (not due to their enthusiasm, but they were just really funny) If I recall it only had something like 43,000 miles on it.

Got a 90 Silhouette (Olds)with 117,000 miles, cold air, clean interior and paint, nice van. Strange driving it though, feels like I need to pull back on the yoke and take off. Don't ever put anything on the dash, if it slides to the windshield you may have to pay a small child to go get it for you........................ Does look kinda like a dust buster??????????????????????
I have a 95 pontiac trans sport with a 94 silhouette front end on it. I'm customizing it to look like a shark. hope to have it done for lost weekend.
The only Stephentown on earth. I don't mind Coming to work, but that 8hr wait to go home is a bitch. No matter how little I do, I always feel I could do less. "The only thing wrong with a perfect drive to work is that you end up at work." NOVA VANS 1990 Dodge B150
Rich, our club president had one of these up until just this year... he loved that thing and had it forever, but it finally needed too much to fix and he upgraded to an Astro conversion. We used to call it "the lipstick" due to mostly the color, and somewhat the shape. "Dustbuster" does seem more fitting though...
Now I want to get one, paint it brown and outfit it with a handle and a switch....

The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!
Oh boy! My Grandfather had a 1996, loaded! At the time I drove a 1992 Honda Accord Coupe, 2.2 4 cycle, with cold air intake and axle back exhaust. The van with the 3.8 V6 got better mileage. Grandpa wanted to put his yellow cancer magnetic ribbon on it, but the only place it would stick was the tiny (but long) A pillars. The body was composite! Smack it with a bat! It would not dent. His was the Chevy Lumina APV, which he called "The Luminator!" So, glad I seen this. He was a great man! He could not pass an Aerostar with a for sale sign. I can not count the numder of Astros and Aerostars he had. The reason I got into vans. This is not his, but is a 100% match.
woo. I love when old threads pop up! I almost bought a Trans Port in the late 90's. I had big plans to make it 'cool' and kinda hot rodded...I went up to Folly beach, SC where one was or sale and drove it. It definitely was not for me and I ended up buying an Astro AWD. you RARELY see them, now.
