Aye Mates.

New to the Board. Appreciate all the good material I found here. Over the last three years. So I will try give some back.

Myself. I am giving a 1985 G20 some Glory. I was always muscle car guy, from the street hero special to the garage ornament. So whats better than that. A cool van that you can use. The literal search on what to do with the inside is a journey on its own. You see from Grampas living room to a 16 YO basement bedroom. So mine looks like something that was offered by GM off the show room floor, but with a bit of zazz. At least i tried from a Pipe Smokers back yard garage. Pics to come..

So as for this nugget I found on ebay. If your sliding door has issues like it hits the side pillar when you open it, and then can grab the back of the door and shake it. And doesnt close right, then this guide is worn out. If you never changed it, it is worn out. you cannot find that upper guide assembly new anymore.

Here is the link to the guide. You might have to look for it. Hes out of Germany. But the only guy in the world that makes the part. Its probably like a 3d Printer thing.

Search ebay.. Chevrolet G10, G20, G30, GMC Vandura 2500 sliding door stabilizer, no 28

You also need to make the two springs that activate the catch arms. The door is supposed to catch until the swing arm is all the way out and then go back. My door works fantastic. Good luck.

There is also a diagram here.
