Earlier this year, I gave up the idea of buying an older Peterbilt semi-truck for personal use due to the high cost of maintenance, storage, insurance, fees, DOT, etc., but still wanted a vehicle I could roam the highways in and live in part-time. I came across this fairly nice, well maintained, one-owner trade-in at a dealership used car lot, sitting in the back with other low-price, high mile units …. and needless to say, worked a deal. When I realized some of my oval Peterbilt emblems fit right over the Ford oval, it became known as "Lil' Pete". So far, I have had it on two short trips to visit friends in neighboring states, and it has been good-to-go, almost as enjoyable as a semi with a whole lot less worry and DOT hassles!! Here are a few pics from when I picked it up.
