Replaced the 20 year old gaskets on the 76, the new Fel-Pro composites leak worse than the old ones I took off. Run the engine a few times hoping the heat would cause the gaskets to expand and retightened the pans a couple times, with no luck. Leaking on the rear bottom corners on both pans. I used RTV to attach the gasket to the pan, but no sealant on the head side. Any suggestions. I bought a set of cheaper Fel-Pro cork gaskets today and will try them.
