There have ben several threads lately about how to install 110 volt window mount AC units on a van to be used while the van is parked at an event with shore power. I came across another way to keep cool in a van that doesn't require a 110v circuit and doesn't require a window mount AC unit. An icebox might make this system much easier to install:

I wonder how cool it can make the van, and for how long. I've seen these before. I might do an experiment on the next camping adventure with this idea.

I got those vent fans. They arrived last week but it hasn't been sunny enough for the fans to work. Plus my windows are tinted which block sun. Hopefully I can test them out soon.
