Here's another one in my collection. It's number eight or nine in my 4x4 collection.
I'm going to restore it to stock and keep it that way since Vx4s are rare.

Iam busy with some maintenance to all the driveshafts, gearboxes, diffs etc.
The reason is a mechanical "boink" when I put the transmission in driver or rear.

I noticed some play in (I call it) the main differential. The only wear i can noticed is in the 3small worm axles there are posisioned around the main axle. See pics

Can anyone please help me on these parts??

Greats Marc

I'm Konstantin from Germany. I bought a Chevy Van G30 4x4 six month ago. The car was used as a firetruck in Switzerland for almost 30 years. It has a very low mileage, just 13500miles, its nearly new. The Van has a also V-Drive. I need some parts for the front axis, for example a cardan joint.
I read that Burrell`s Service Inc sell parts, but the number isn't available, whats happend? Who can help me?

Thx for your help!
Konstantin

Hi Marc,

I own also one of these rare Vans.
I know the "boink" very well.
As mine has less then 10.000mls on it, i think that noise should be normal.
