I'm a member of a Yamaha TW200 motorcycle forum that has had a lot of luck with this new version of photo tag. It's rules are pretty simple and you can play no matter what state or country you live in.I say we play with our vans.
We like our van
Once the first challenge is set, vanners will attempt to satisfy the challenge, take a pic of his/her van with said challenge, and post it in the thread. If the challenge is satisfied, the vanner will choose the next challenge. The following rules should help clarify further: NO illegal challenges.....
1)Must be your van or spouses van.
2) If a challenge is not met after 3days the last winner can pick a new topic.
3) If a picture is in dispute, it needs 1 yes vote from a moderator or 3 yes votes from any forum members to be accepted.
4) After any comment, please put the current challenge at the bottom so everyone can stay up to date.
5) If a picture has been posted but a new challenge has not been picked, the current challenge is still active until (a) new challenge has been picked or another rider posts another picture satisfying the challenge and picks a new challenge
Examples of challenges. Your van next to some real horses. Your van next to a port o potty (not a blue or green one) Your van next to a mile marker 13 Your van next to a sushi restaurant. Your van next to a wrecked car.
Ill throw down the gaunlet on the first challenge: Since we all love to DRIVE our vans, I challenge someone to post a RECENT picture of their van at a state line sign.. and GO!!!!!
Lousy pic because this was taken at night, but you can see my 86 Dodge shorty off to the left. This was last year, helping my brother's fiancee (now wife) move from Indianapolis to Denver. We drove from northeastern PA to help with the move.

Foul! a year ago isnt recent! Cool pic anyway, ok you get the win!
I don't intentionally run my van in the mud, but it happens, and usually there's a wife/girlfriend/buddy there to snap a picture while howling with laughter, instead of helping out by pushing!
If I was stuck in the mud Im not climbing out into the mud to take a pic....Ive been buried up to the black trim, which is higher than my 35" tires, couldnt get the door opened climbed out the window to go get a 6 wheeled fire truck to pull me out. This was outside of Reno, watching the Reno Air Races and they had 20 fire trucks spread over a 10 acre lot that had the spectators in... that was a yr ago and NO pics

IM half tempted to go sink the Ford, but mud season ended early out here and id be lucky to find a hole that would actually stick my van. That and id be SOL cause all my friends drive little weenie cars and they arn't following me into the woods, let alone pulling me out.
Dont want this thread to get forgotten, this is fun....Ill issue a challenge to get it back going.... Heres an easy one to get it back going.... Your van with the engine out.!!!
Jess that's a great shot, I can remember doing that as a kid, but Adam has her actually driving. And I remember the blue Dodge so I'm thinking Adam's our winner.
closest thing I got to a wild animal is my puppy trucker Dakota.
She can keep up with the best two legged party animals out there. while a few years old now here is a picture of the Beast at a car event.Standing tall and proud.
there are 4 of us, im driving and the Mrs is photog. Actually theres 5 of us, this was on the way to GSVR 6 and the Mrs was 6wks pregnant there. a party at 80mph count?
A picture of your van with something tye-dyed in the shot. It can be a t-shirt, flag, blanket or whatever as long as it's tye-dyed and in the pic with your van. An older pic is acceptable.
Vantage, WA. Gingko Gem Shop, just outside the Gingko Petrified Forest State park. There are about four of those dinosaurs there.
There is actually an interesting back story to the dinosaurs. The dinosaurs in Vantage were purchased from a defunct theme park in Arizona (I think that is the state). The theme park was sort of a Jurassic Park but with fake dinosaurs. You would drive around through the sand dunes and come upon various scenes of dinosaurs fighting. The park closed and the owner of the gem shop bought the dinosaurs to spice up his parking lot. It worked. Just be sure to stop in the shop, see the nice store cat and fossilized crabs, and purchase something. My 8 year niece liked it.
Alright, this is the best I got from WalMart.Sorry there is no Walmart sign. These are near the garden center entrance where I like to park and keep my van away from all the fools in the parking lot.
If Catfish says these are acceptable the next challenge will be a very easy one.
your van at the gas pump or the parking lot of a gas station
ok i got some for in the van , this is Stinker ,my female blue healer ,border collie , about a year and a half old . Stinker is all she would answer to lol.
Thanks Wizz, I've been following this thread for a while now and I like it but haven't been able to post and I knew I had some of the requests (van at gas station & dog outside van) but sometimes just can't find them but in looking I did get some ideas for requests.
How about your van in the rain or wet from rain....not washed.
I hereby propose a motion whereby the rules are relaxed so that all pictures with bikini clad women in anybody's van, at any time, anywhere is/are to be considered while we wait for proof that the babe is indeed positively posing provocatively within the poster's van.

Well its hot enough for string, floss, t-bars, tri patches, band-aids, tassels....well you get the idea.....if mine had any clothes on I'd get a pic....LOL
Well if you guys insist. This one from Megaspeed 2012 earlier in the year. It seems we're headed back to Megaspeed in March 2013 with Ghostrider and likely more photo ops like this. We've got two bikined models in the van and the vanning.com banner in the shot:
If this is worthy how about we do your van in a convoy on the road.

Them bowties are so cool, make sure to post a pic when the project is finished. Did you mix all that concrete by hand and are the bowties going to be a different color of cement.
When I posted it, I thought it would be fairly easy... Then I realized that I don't even have a pic of my van like that, and I do crazy stuff like that.

(2021) Your van down by the river- Friscke1 Your van doing "Work"- NEmery Your van with all the doors open- Rusty_Pancelode Your van with a Dog inside- NEmery
I just ran to the bank and a car kept tryin to change lanes into ME so I stepped on it to go to where he couldnt hit me and there lo N behold a cop .... 18 MPH over speed limit ... dang it
Oh and get this he asked if "I have any weapons in the van" ...lol I said on the side door .... he opened the side door and jumped back .... His next facial expression was priceless. "WHOA !" Yep everything I need for the desert officer. lol
Yes, that is a great pic. I collect local history of the railroads that were once in my area, all long gone, except for their beautiful railroad trestles, bridges and tunnels. The stonework on these structures is beautiful and long-lasting. My brother worked over 40 years for the Penn-Central which became Conrail and now is known as Norfolk Southern.
How about one from the past that was never answered. Your van near a State Line Welcome sign OR a pic of the State Sign taken from your van as you flew past......
Rusty....since you live in Texas, a county sign will do.....

Here is the next challenge. Since we're all spread out over the world on here, how about a picture with your van in front of the "crop/commodity" for your area. Example (Iowa, corn field, cattle log, hog lot, soybean field) Hey, you Cali' folks (Almond tree, fruit tree) Catfish or you southern folk, PEACHES!! Must be within last 2 years. 70's pics just get you extra credit....
Whatever "floats your boat" as long as it's a commodity raised or produced in your area. Big time extra credit if the boats name is Jenny and it's a Bubba Gump boat.
The problem for me is the Orange trees that produces softball sized oranges is in the back yr and cant get the back there with the van ....lol
My neighbors are so glad I don't have pigs or cattle in my back yard. But corn, it's everywhere in Iowa! Sweet corn or field corn...... (almost like tobacco out in eastern PA)
IF snow were a commodity in Iowa/Cedar Rapids (which it's not, I live in CR and have plenty I would ship you come Jan/Feb/March) and you had a picture with your van in the snow, you'd win. But snow isn't a commodity.
Speaking of Iowa. Looking for our Iowa pictures and found this one. We were out riding around near Plano in southern Iowa and found this tiny little church in the middle of nowhere! Not much bigger than the van....
Catfish, I think I recall you saying " you were camping in southern Iowa " about 2 years ago.... Was this when the picture was taken down by Lake Rathbun?
You're a month to late in the picture, the corn has already been harvested from the field behind you....
In honor of Labor Day weekend, how about a picture of your van with YOU shown "laboring" on the van! Can be old or new picture, but you must be working on the van (wrenching/washing/waxing/tinkering, changing a tire,ect...)
If that is to hard, how about a picture of your van with some beautiful OWLS!!!
No that was the detail guy, my R leg after surgery doesnt let me wash the RED van I can do the white one but BIG RED is BIG ... yes he had to use my 10 ft ladder, thats what I cant climb on
Your van with law enforcement in the same photo. Can be a LEO pic from inside the van. They can be on foot, horse back, motorcycle or whatever. Game warden, traffic cop, border patrol, FBI to Barney Fife. It can be your van next to a regular patrol car or super trooper. Extra credit for female troopers... No accident scenes allowed.
Yeah, I'm in the same camp as Rusty. My Astro registration has expired, as I'm still on the fence about selling it, but I definitely am not in the mood for paying a ticket to play the photo game.
Catfish, that is a nice stable of rides you have there.
Thanks, but to be honest, I sold the '93 shorty conversion a couple years ago and gave the Ol Ford to a good friend of mine last year. I don't miss the shorty at all but I do miss our old Ford from time to time....
