1 month ago - I had an ABS light come on in my 94 E250. AC didn't work, Odometer didn't display. Turned it off, and back on again and it all worked fine - no ABS light.
Yesterday, driving the light flickered on and then turned off.
Today, light came on and stayed on until I parked. then when I started it back up again, NO light.
Seems like something might be going out...any ideas where to start??? | | | Re: ABS | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 9,879 Likes: 242 carpal tunnel | carpal tunnel Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 9,879 Likes: 242 | Start at the basics. Check that your ground serving the cluster is good. Then perhaps check the adjustment of the ignition switch.

Can you point me in the right direction on how to do that? | | | Re: ABS | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 9,879 Likes: 242 carpal tunnel | carpal tunnel Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 9,879 Likes: 242 | I'm sorry, I didn't think about your van being a '94. It's new enough to help you solve the problem so, before doing anything else, run the codes from your ECM for the ABS. If there is a problem the computer will have saved the code even if the problem is intermittent. Most brake shops can do this for you for a small fee and it will save a lot of trial and error.
An ABS problem (if it is an ABS problem) is most often the front wheel sensors. They are located behind the brake rotors and are exposed to vibration, brake heat, dust, mud and corrosion. Sometimes just a cleaning is all that's needed.
Since you have other electrical problems that happen at the same time it may not be just an ABS glitch.
