Just my 2¢ | | | Re: Spare tire cover?? | Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,286 | Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,286 | I have seen people put a vinyl slip on one over the tire then put the stainless trim ring over it to dress it up. They are only 20-50 bucks and come with team logos, characters, etc.
The dent on your trim ring does not look bad, anyone who does metal work should be able to bang most of it out. | | | Re: Spare tire cover?? | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 4,460 pooh-bah | pooh-bah Joined: May 2006 Posts: 4,460 | i like the vinyl ones better anyway, 13 bucks at walmart

Just pull it tight or it looks like crap. worked great! Member Shenandoah Valley Vans Van = Party. Party + cool people = Vannin'. Lets go Vannin'!

When I actually needed to utilize the spare tire, I found the trim ring to be a Pita. Nowhere to put it as it did not want to fit over a full size tire.
I eventually got rid of it. I kept the round face and use that, held on with a thin rope in the tire channels.
I recently bought a Bestop canvas/denim/ cover off amazon for about 15$, but it fits like granny panties on a supermodel. | | | Re: Spare tire cover?? | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 663 addict | addict Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 663 | but it fits like granny panties on a supermodel.
