I need to know how, with out hurting the metal underneath . They are molded on, so I have my work cut out for me, to some extent any way. I will add some close up shots if you need, let me know.

I would look underneath and see if there are any screws holding it in, the next thing i would do is just try to grab ahold of it and see if it will break free, more than likely not. Otherwise you will have to cut it off...carefully! theres no way to remove them without having to do paint work however.

If not do what draggnastro said. See if there is screws with nuts and washers on the back side. If screwed remove the nuts and washers from the back side. Most likely though they were riveted. If they are just drill out the rivets from the back side and then working from one of the outside ends of the flare, grab it firmly and start gently rocking it back and forth slowly increasing the strength and rhythm. They should slowly start breaking free. You could also run a score line between the fender and the flare, to help with the separation. As they start separating move higher up the flair and do the same. The flare should completely break free leaving some FG or bondo. Which ever was used to smooth and contour them. Then the rest id hand chiseling and sanding. Then fill the holes, primer and paint and then your good to go!! Hope this helps!!

Just enough to break the bond, but not enough to damage/dent the fenders.

I do not plan to reuse these flairs or any flairs on the front, and using steel flairs, more like fenders, on the rear. IF you are familiar with BONE HEAD, I am doing something like his flairs. . . .
