For years we've been putting V8's in Abodys were there once was a /6. We would use a V8 truck mount on the passenger side. We've been doing this long before Schumacher started selling kits.
My question is has anyone ever tried this on an A100? I don't have any extra A100 V8 frame mounts, but I do have several of the truck mounts. I know Brian Bowie has the frame mounts that I need. But building on a budget I would rather use what I have.
If nobody has tried this I guess I will have to try it on my own. Or does anybody have another way to do it?

Problem is the truck mounts are too tall, but I guess you could cut them down and reweld.

The right side frame bracket is the same on a /6 and a V8 but you have to drill a new hole for the rubber mount stud to fall into.

The left side frame bracket is totally different between a /6 and V8. Probably ought to get that one from Brian.

The rubber insulator is Anchor P/N 2338

Phoenix had a six and tthere were two mounts ... the dirver side mount I think looks just like the V-8 mount but it is slightly different.I THINK. do not chastize me if I am wrong. BUT i bought a passenger side motor mount and I think the engine sat crooked. I had to buy a matched set of V-8 mounts to get it right. Too long ago !!!! ten years . but it wasn't as easy as it looked. Parts were close but not perfect

Cheers!

You use 62-65 big-block B-body car brackets and A-100 style small-block rubber insulators and PLOP..drops right in.

As you can see we notched the drivers side floor a bit. This doesn't have to be done, but allows for more clearance around the exhaust manifold.
