So. back in August of last year, I decided to get me a van. My original intent was to find something that ran well, needed minor cosmetic work, and could be completely customized on the inside for camping, traveling, etc. I found one that fit the bill. It was an 86 Chevy G20. I test drove it and found that it ran pretty dang good. The paint was looking rough and the wheels and tires were shot. The interior was a mess where it had been used as a work van for years. After I got it home, I tore into it. MY plan was to just re-do the insides and start driving it right away. However, there was alot of hang ups on the way. I had trouble getting it registered, the windows leaked, the engine had a squirrel's next hidden in it, along with a bunch of other problems that I didn't find out about until months later. But for 1400 bucks, who cared? It's my van and I'll fix it when I'm good and ready. After nearly a year of fixing major problems, I am finally back to square one and am about to start on my interior again. Here are some pic of progress so far. I'll continue to update as I get further along with it.

Shes a keeper! The wheels look real nice, and so your obsession begins. Have fun!

Dont sweat the petty things and dont pet the sweaty things! And by the way, did I mention that I drive a van?

Over the past few months, I've only been tinkering around on this project. I finally found a set of windows from a dodge van for cheap and a local shop to put them in. Then, I decided to go ahead a tag it so I could drive it to the shop and to work only to find out that the previous owner never had it registered and has moved away and changed his number...And the original owner, according to the man I bought it from, is deceased...So, I'm pretty sure this thing may have been stolen. And now, 9 months, 3 windows, a couple grand on tune ups and other mechanical work, and a new slider door later, I have most of the leaks fixed and can start on the interior FINALLY!

My junkyard door. The original one was warped and wouldn't close all the way.[Linked Image]
