could need more gas, possibly really dirty fuel filter in the carb, or there could be an inline fuel filter that needs to be changed as well. Possibly fuel pump? if you're not getting fuel it's gonna either be the pump, filter, line or the carb which is a broad subject in itself.

pour some gas in the carb and see if it fires up just to make sure it's fuel delivery thats your problem.

I go to Truck-ins. How about you?

i jsut wanna ask this... Does it have a gas cap on it?
if it does alrite. if it doesnt u might have water in the fuel also... *found this out the hard way*

also put about 5-10 gallons in it.

if you sit in the pass seat and have the airfilter and housing off competely... you'll see the black fuel line that runs up to the front of the carb on the front passenger side... take the fuel line off and get a wrench on the nut and loosen it... replace the filter. hook everything back up.

since it's sitting so long it prolly doesnt have fuel in the bowl yet, so do as match said and pour just a lil bit on top of the carb etc... might have to do it a couple times...

hope this helps.

but puring a lil fuel down the carb will get her to go... the fuel bowl needs to replinsh itself... etc...

If u kept putting ur foot into it while starting... u mighta flooded it... so when u try to start.... pedal to the floor and crank it... it'll bog low then start revving up let off and she'll come to a idle.

lol i totally forgot i had starter fluid in the van, but im leaving right now cuz my wife called said i had to come home... tomorrow im gunna do the staring fluid and see if thats is, but the carb didnt smell like it had any gas even getting to it, i got a new inline filter, the one on it was after market fram g2 so should i look in another place? someone said passenger side frame rail just before the gas tank? and im gunna put 5 gallons this time, should it have a mechanical fuel pump? or electric? and where?

thanks for the advice!

yeah should be mech fuel pump... if it's ELEC fuel pump you'll hear it prime when u turn the key... MECH fuel pump is on the passender front side of the block...
*duh* also check the fuel lines going to the mech fuel pump for a pinched line.. or whatnot.

if u have a inline filter check the frame rail... but there still should be a stocker in the carb unless someone took it out. etc

but yeah... pedal to the floor may help when starting... if u let off to early shell putter out.... too late and your ears will hurt smile

ummm, yeah fuel bowls need to get filled... so just put some fuel down the carb. very little... and she should start.
