The Falling Meeting, all are welcome, Oct 3 is being held at Teabag’s (George Spadafore) house 5 kms east of Wiarton, in Oxenden Ontario. There will be the first ever vanner’s ball hockey game played so bring your hockey sticks, even if you’re not going to play lend it to someone else for the game. Teabag has come up with a special penalty box for anyone who tries to do a “Tie Domi”. Please get your 4 person teams together and they can be mixed, male & female. The game starts about 1:30 or 2pm and the meeting starts at 3pm. Teabag, Geoff & Sonya editors of the OFV, have been selling tickets on a vintage table hockey game from the late 50’s or early 60’s and it is a working complete game with all the players, Leafs vs Habs, scoreboard and “glass”, but the pucks are missing. Tickets are 3 for $5.00 or 7 for $10.00 and you do not have to be in attendance for the chance to win the table hockey game but you do for the other door prizes. Each van or vehicle who comes to the meeting will get a one of a kind dash plaque created by Teabag, any left afterwards can be purchased for a small fee. After the meeting and dinner in town or you can use the bbq to cook what you brought to eat, a live band, The Bearcats will be playing, www.thebearcats.com and a contribution of $5.00 per person is to help cover the cost of the band. There is basic camping available so bring your lawn chairs for the meeting, warm clothes etc for staying as I don’t want anyone drinking and driving back home. Good time! Rain on and off all day but it wasn't as cold as we expected either. The band sounded great considering they were playing in George's garage. Some people sat inside with the band and the rest stood(danced) outside the door. Mountaineer Van Club is hosting the spring meeting in Grimsby. Dates and time to be announced later.

Well, what a time ! As usual Canadian Vanner's were ready for any weather, as was the Bearcat's (the band) I will some post the pics here, and soon a video on You Tube of the band and the vanner's........

Doug- I love the "Tie Domi" line, that guy was so fun to watch.
