Due to the time constraints to build that van it was WRAPPED. Yes folks...it's a giant decal. We had a local company digitally scan a tie-dyed shirt that the owner wanted matched and wrapped the entire van. That van was built in about 3 weeks. Started as a rusty mess with the quad light grille and trashed interior. This was built as a gift for the customer's brother's birthday. This was all hush-hush. The customer bought a van from Ebay and it was a little worse than imagined. The rear doors were hit and sprung and wouldn't close. The slider wouldn't close. The spare bracket was bent. It needed engine work and a transmission. It was a mess. The brother did not even know we were working on a van for him. We delivered it to his bd party and he was so suprised! That was a cool feeling!!! [ July 14, 2006, 08:32 AM: Message edited by: clean cut creations ] | | | Re: new van builder from st louis #84830 July 07th 2006 10:29 am | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 5,168 Vanaholic | Vanaholic Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 5,168 | Very nice work..I love the old panels fact I think I may have seen the silver 64 Bread Sled in Indy at a show..is this person from St.Louis? | | | Re: new van builder from st louis | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 8 stranger | OP stranger Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 8 |
quote:
Originally posted by vanatic05: Very nice work..I love the old panels fact I think I may have seen the silver 64 Bread Sled in Indy at a show..is this person from St.Louis?

The customer that we built the "BREAD SLED" for does live in St Louis. He sold that truck in '03 at Goodguys Indy not long afer we finished it. The new owner lives in/around Detroit. SHE shows it regularly at Goodguys shows. It is a nice rig..I was sad to see it leave STL. [ July 07, 2006, 05:33 PM: Message edited by: clean cut creations ] | | | Re: new van builder from st louis | Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,426 36th National Truckin Chairman | 36th National Truckin Chairman Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,426 | Where in St. Louis are you.
